Guest: Matthew Stein

Understanding the real possibility that technology can and probably will fail makes it easier to move into focused and productive activity, rather than running around frantically trying to get ready for some vague catastrophe.  With an understanding of what is going on and the evidence to back it up, it’s also easier to recruit the help of family and community.  In short, you are better prepared, and that’s the point, isn’t it?

When Technology Fails is on Jim’s list of must-have books. This is a very important strategy book designed to help you get your head around some of the key issues we face and give you information that will help you form a plan of action. We’ll explore just how serious and eminent the problem is, discover just how possible it is to avoid serious technology failure leading to societal collapse, and then develop some strategies you’ll want to implement, so you’ll not be swept away and destroyed by the events.

Instructor: Jim Phillips
Jim Phillips is a nationally known speaker and teacher who has professionally taught thousands of classes all across the United States for 40 years. For a number of years prior to this career, his hobby was teaching cold weather safety & survival.

Jim is a strong advocate of self-reliance living and family preparedness. He developed an entire preparedness curriculum by asking himself the question “What if?” and then setting out to discover what actually does and does not work.

The answers he seeks (and then teaches) must be based on true principles derived from first hand experience. Above all else, he believes that attitude and practical knowledge is more critical to survival than having a bunch of “stuff.”
