Year Round Garden In Your Kitchen

Instructor: Jim Phillips (view profile)
Guest: Pam Lazaris

Most people think sprouts are something you eat occasionally, and probably buy in little boxes at the grocery store.  Not so with our guest Pamela Lazaris – for her sprouting is a daily way of life.

Waking up those little bundles of sleeping life we call seeds is a way to have fresh, live foods every day.

Pam uses them in just about everything –  in smoothies, salads, soups, and snack-bars. She always has several of the EasySprout vertical sprouters in use every day. Open the fridge and you’ll find several different sprouts waiting to be used. You’ll also find sprouts frozen in the freezer ready to go into a smoothie.

We’ll learn from Pam some of her many uses of sprouts along with the nutritional benefits that they provide to young and old alike.

PLUS I’ll provide some additional insights on sprouting with the EasySprout.

Instructor: Jim Phillips
Jim Phillips is a nationally known speaker and teacher who has professionally taught thousands of classes all across the United States for 40 years. For a number of years prior to this career, his hobby was teaching cold weather safety & survival.

Jim is a strong advocate of self-reliance living and family preparedness. He developed an entire preparedness curriculum by asking himself the question “What if?” and then setting out to discover what actually does and does not work.

The answers he seeks (and then teaches) must be based on true principles derived from first hand experience. Above all else, he believes that attitude and practical knowledge is more critical to survival than having a bunch of “stuff.”

Guest: Pam Lazaris

Pam Lazaris has many years of daily experience using sprouts.  Not only does she eat them herself, but uses them in almost everything her family eats.

Pam consumed them while pregnant and the first “solid” foods that she gave to her infants was from sprouts.  Growing sprouts is not just a little add on to the diet, but a major component of the family’s diet.

Her education includes an MBA plus a Masters in Urban and City Planning.  She lives in Lake Mills, Wisconsin with her husband Gene Monson.  Gene is the inventor of the unique EasySprout vertical sprouter.
