Strategic Preparedness – Episode 3

Who Packed Your Parachute?

The parachute is the ideal analogy for your emergency supplies, what Jim Phillips likes to point out is an integral part of one’s Provident Living Lifestyle.  You see, if you get tossed out of an airplane at 10,000 feet AGL, that’s a serious situation, and you had best have what it takes to survive the experience with you at that very moment.

If you failed in your gravity intervention preparations — you will die shortly, and it’s too late to fix the problem.  There are numerous life threatening events that can befall any of us unexpectedly, and if we have not foreseen such possibilities and made provisions for them, the results could be anything from inconvenient, to life altering, to deadly.

In life there are many occasions where the appropriate “parachute” would make all the difference in the world. and Jim Phillips are about helping learn about many of those parachutes.

So the question arises, just where are you finding the parachutes that you may need, and who is packing them up for you?  Are these emergency chutes of lifesaving quality when the demand is made or are they just filled with trinkets, bobbles and beads?  The time to find out is before you pull the rip-cord while plummeting to earth at 120 mph.

A real need is for you to evaluate, upgrade, repair or replace any inadequate emergency kits/supplies that you now own, or are looking to acquire.

One of the best things you can do to be sure you have the right “stuff” is to learn the principles and then pack your own parachutes.

The entire Strategic Preparedness Show is an over the air and online audio class series designed to help you do just that.

Episode #3 is directed at the very heart of the process of learning to properly pack your own emergency parachutes.  It goes hand in hand with the past two classes and sets the stage for the future presentations that will give you the tools and understanding to far outclass the numerous “kit” offerings available all around you.

Almost universally the standard 72-Hour Kits (or the lists for them) will be unraveled by the free online audio, Your 72-Hour Kit Could Kill You, found at

Learn, be ready, make it an adventure and you to can face the future with hope and confidence.

Instructor: Jim Phillips
Jim Phillips is a nationally known speaker and teacher who has professionally taught thousands of classes all across the United States for 40 years. For a number of years prior to this career, his hobby was teaching cold weather safety & survival.

Jim is a strong advocate of self-reliance living and family preparedness. He developed an entire preparedness curriculum by asking himself the question “What if?” and then setting out to discover what actually does and does not work.

The answers he seeks (and then teaches) must be based on true principles derived from first hand experience. Above all else, he believes that attitude and practical knowledge is more critical to survival than having a bunch of “stuff.”

  1. This is so awesome. I’m glad I found out about the “space blankets” before I had to use it. Going to try it out and see how it might be augmented. Thank you so much for posting the presentations – I don’t always remember to log in for the actual radio show. It’s very valuable information.
