Things Happen, So I’ll Adapt…

Instructor and Host: Jim Phillips (view profile)
Featuring: Doug Fabrizio & Ted Koppel

One thing about life is that things happen, in spite of all the plans and preparations we make.  However, the ultimate response is to just adapt to the situation.

As always, I plan to have a program each week to feature, however, one after another the interviews set up for this week had to withdraw.  So for tonight it’s an 11-minute introduction and reference that will take you back to part of what we discussed last week.  I’ll first give a quick contrast between a couple of the similarities and differences between an EMP attack and a cyber attack on the power-grid, then encourage you to study once again the KUER Doug Fabrizio interview of Ted Koppel talking about his book, ”Lights Out”.  It is a game changer that must be heard, and read more than once.

“If The Lights Went Out In America” was first broadcast at KUER live on November 3, 2015, and then rebroadcast January 15, 2016 — click here to listen.

Instructor: Jim Phillips
Jim Phillips is a nationally known speaker and teacher who has professionally taught thousands of classes all across the United States for 40 years. For a number of years prior to this career, his hobby was teaching cold weather safety & survival.

Jim is a strong advocate of self-reliance living and family preparedness. He developed an entire preparedness curriculum by asking himself the question “What if?” and then setting out to discover what actually does and does not work.

The answers he seeks (and then teaches) must be based on true principles derived from first hand experience. Above all else, he believes that attitude and practical knowledge is more critical to survival than having a bunch of “stuff.”
